BELT RANKS

In Taekwondo, belt ranks represent a student's progress, skill level, and dedication to learning. Each student begins as a white belt, symbolising a fresh start and an open mind. As students learn and practice, they earn different coloured belts, each marking a new level of knowledge and achievement. The colours typically start with white, then go to yellow, green, blue, red, and eventually black.

Each belt colour signifies growth and development, with specific techniques, forms (patterns), and skills associated with each rank. Achieving a new belt requires practice, discipline, and a test or evaluation by instructors. Reaching a black belt represents a high level of skill and dedication, but it's also considered the beginning of a deeper journey in Taekwondo. The belt system helps students set goals and see their progress, encouraging them to keep learning and improving.

The belt system is a progression of ranks that reflect skill level, knowledge, and commitment.
